You might have seen the article in the Sun Journal last week about Auburn Republican School Committee member Christopher Langis, who randomly accused a black woman from Texas who posted on Macy’s Facebook page of being on foodstamps, presumably based on nothing more than her name and profile photo.

What you may have missed, however, was the Sun Journal‘s update, where they posted Langis’ rather incredible response.

In the 800-word letter, Langis declares that he “wholeheartedly agrees” with Donald Trump, who recently said of Mexican immigrants “They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

Trump’s remarks have caused a firestorm of protest, the cancelling of business relationships and mockery and yet have also prompted his rise to the top of several polls of the Republican presidential primary.

Langis also warns against immigrants taking American jobs and “changing our culture forever.”

On his Facebook page, Langis is even less restrained. A quick scan shows him defending Trump and his incendiary claims in much more vivid terms:

“Mr. Trump has made a lifetime out of calling the bluffs of the limp-wristed and the know-it-alls,” writes Langis. “That is exactly why the GOP establishment hates him with the heat of a thousand suns. See, Mr. Trump has effectively de-panted them in broad daylight and exposed the fact there’s actually no ‘there’ there when you look between the legs of most of these Republicans.”

There are also a number of other racially-tinged posts, including a photo of a white couple in blackface as Ray Rice and his abused wife, which Langis has captioned “Costume party idea ;)”
